This is a sample of one of my freewheeling mind drawings where I let my mind be open and my hand draw whatever it wants. I then look at the result, and ask myself what my subconscious is trying to say. In this case, I felt like there was an intimation of community, a place that is safe but not everyone was allowed in, or only partially so. Some fit, some don’t, some are welcome, some are not.
I rotated the sketch 180 degrees and added more individuals each with their own distinct traits and therefore shapes and colors.
Ecosystems are wonderfully complex and carefully balanced. This is true of human relationships too.
