This is a continuation of the original Letter Soup painting idea but at a smaller scale (12”x12”) and with all curved letters removed. This gave me the following shapes to use: E T F H I N L V I K Six paintings resulted with different color combinations. The letter shapes are the positive space but the background can recede or come forward depending on the colors used and their relative intensities. There is always a single spot of a different color located to bring the eye back and act as a hub as the eye to scan the patterns again. |
