“A Provence village delight
From another era another clime
Quaint, peaceful and bright;
Unlike our Fractured time.”

Fractured Photo
My wife and I just love Provence in southern France. Several times we have rented a small apartment in one of the hill towns and then take day-trips out into the countryside and other villages. The buildings are old, the village patterns pre-auto, and the life seemingly much slower and more personal. I would walk down to the square each morning to get croissants, and then once a week to the open market for our food.
This is a photo of Ocher, from where the paint color original came, a wonderful earthy yellow-brown-red that so many of the houses are painted. It comes from the local Ferric-oxide clay.
